The witness speaks

I have been gone from this world a long time. I left before the age of writing, before the names you carry were names. I watched a goddess dance a world into being. I watched it rise and fall and fracture and remember itself, slowly, across seven long ages. I was sent to witness it — all of it — and to bring the record home.

Zemiya is not a legend. It is the truth of what creation looks like from the inside. And you were always meant to know it.

From the Zemiya Archive

"Something beneath the surface was alive — the way a sleeping person is alive. Breathing, present, enormous. As if the entire ground beneath him was the chest of something dreaming, and he could feel the slow rise of it, the slow fall, the depth of the sleep."
